The Role:

In the Sales Engineer role you'll report to the Plant Manager and will be primarily responsible for providing an important link between the site and group engineering and sales teams. You will have strong interpersonal skills, good engineering knowledge and experience of working in a team environment.

Specifically you'll be tasked with customer & application requirements and clearly define relevant application data.

You'll also be tasked with developing commercial opportunities beyond the initial technical query.

The Candidate:

To be the right person for Sales Engineer role you will need direct experience of communicating with customer & sales teams to interpret and understand customer requirements.

We also need you to have prior experience of working with internal teams (engineering and ops teams) to identify products, develop solutions and proposals of primarily mechanical products, to satisfy customer application requirements.

It's important that you also have the following:

• An engineering background and general understanding of mechanical principles
• Solid MS Office skills, strong excel abilities around calculations and formulae
• Strong communication skills, the ability to develop strong relationships with colleagues within the business and clients outside the business

You'll also need to be the following:

• Ambitious, keen to join a high performing team
• Have an appreciation of the commercial side of engineering
• Able to qualify and prioritise a wide variety of customer requests and identify and develop commercial opportunity beyond the initial RFQ or technical query

The Package:

The basic salary for the Sales Engineer role is up to £35,000 per annum.
