Job Title: Interim CAD Engineer

Location: Woking, Surrey / Hybrid

Salary / Rate: Hourly rate equivalent of circa.£40,000

Initial Contract Length: 4-6 months (likely to extend)

** This interim role will start in January so the successful candidate will need to be available to commit from that point **

About the Role:

We are seeking to recruit an experienced interim CAD Engineer to join our clients team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and detailing new parts, using CAD software. This will involve working closely with our R&D team to ensure that the designs are manufacturable and meet all relevant standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and detail 3D CAD models of new parts
• Collaborate with the R&D team to ensure that the designs are manufacturable and meet all relevant standards
• Produce clear and accurate engineering drawings to a BS8888 standard
• Provide design support to the manufacturing team
• Keep up-to-date with the latest CAD technology

Essential Skills and Experience:

• Proven experience as a CAD Engineer, with 3+ years of experience
• Strong experience using CAD software e.g. Autodesk Inventor or SolidWorks
• Excellent knowledge of engineering drawing principles, ideally having used BS8888 standard
• Working knowledge of manufacturing processes such as injection moulding and machining
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
