Role: Urban Designer / Masterplanner

Location: Hybrid - Birmingham / Remote

Salary: circa.£45-65k (depending on experience) + benefits + equity

** You will need to be within commutable distance of Birmingham for this role (the role is hybrid) **

We're looking for a visionary Urban Designer to join our clients team in supporting their clients in shaping places that enhance people's lives.

In this hybrid role, you'll split your time between our clients Birmingham office and remote work.

Responsibilities:

• Design of large-scale mixed-use communities
• Develop design guidance in the form of strategic and/or detailed design codes, guides, and briefs
• Design places that demonstrate best practice urbanism, with a practical knowledge of designing compact neighbourhoods, active travel, and landscape-led design responses
• Supervise and support junior staff, projects, and client relationships

Qualifications:

• Experience in preparing visions for large-scale mixed-use communities
• Experience creating design guidance in the form of strategic and/or detailed design codes, guides, and briefs
• Experience designing places that demonstrate best practice urbanism, with a practical knowledge of designing compact neighbourhoods, active travel, and landscape-led design responses
• Experience managing projects, and liaising successfully with clients
• Experience using any of the following tools: vector works, AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, or SketchUp
