We're looking for a talented Marine Claims Handler to work for our client.
They want to recruit someone with demonstrable experience of the handling of marine cargo or freight liability claims.

The Role:
In the Marine Claims Handler role you'll be primarily responsible for managing our clients claims procedure from start through to settlement, making decisions on the extent and validity of a claim and checking for any potential fraudulent activity.
You'll report to the Claims Director and you'll spend part of the working week in the company's London office. For the rest of the week you will be working from home.
In the job you'll be tasked with the following:
- The management and adjustment of outsourced claims
- Maintaining claim reserves accurately
- Updating claims on bordereaux
- Preparing and issuing FNOL's
- Assisting in building client relationships and general marketing

The Candidate:
The ideal candidate for this Marine Claims Handler role will have relevant experience of the handling of marine cargo or freight liability claims. You'll also need experience of using claims management systems.
Plus, it's vital that you've got experience of liaising with underwriters, surveyors, brokers and other third parties.
The ideal person for the role will be the following:
- Commercially minded
- Able to work in a fast paced environment
- Diligent and have an eye for detail
