Personal Lines Account Handler

We're looking for a talented Personal Lines Account Handler to work for our client.

They want to recruit someone with demonstrable experience of personal lines insurance products.

The Role:

In the Personal Lines Account Handler role you'll be primarily responsible for providing a comprehensive insurance service to existing and potential new customers in accordance with both FCA and internal requirements.

You'll report to the Managing Director and you'll spend part of the working week in the company's Leeds office. For the rest of the week you will be working from home.

In the job you'll be tasked with the following:

- Fully supporting the management team, Business Development Executives and Account Executives in the key areas of account handling and broking of existing and new business to insurers

- Providing full scale assistance and support to senior personnel responsible for managing and supervising the Personal Lines team in various account handling tasks and interaction with the market

- The assisting in the new business and retentions lifecycle

The Candidate:

The ideal candidate for this Personal Lines Account Handler role will have relevant experience of personal lines insurance products.

You'll also need experience of motor, home and travel products and relationship management.

In addition, you'll need the following:

- Extensive technical knowledge of all classes of business for personal lines markets

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills

- The ability to manage contracts

The ideal person for the role will be the following:

- A strong communicator

- Able to collate risk information at new business and renewal

- Familiar with claims procedures
