We're looking for a talented Associate Landscape Architect to work for our client.

They want to recruit someone with demonstrable experience of areas around environmental planning and strategic landscape architecture.

The Role:

In this Associate Landscape Architect role you'll be primarily responsible for leading and driving a wide range of local and strategic projects in a variety of sectors nationwide, from co-ordinating & leading green and blue infrastructure strategies, overseeing Building With Nature assessments as part of co-ordinated masterplanning exercises, preparing landscape/townscape and visual impact assessments, undertaking design audits, shaping tall buildings and providing expert witness services, carrying out design strategies and landscape design coding.

You'll report to an extremely supportive Associate Director and you'll spend part of the working week in the company's Birmingham office. For the rest of the week you will be working from home or a location of your choice.

In the job you'll be tasked with the following:

  • Designing and creating plans for parks, gardens, and other public green spaces
  • Developing strategies for preserving, restoring, and enhancing natural resources
  • Collaborating with other professionals such as engineers, surveyors, and contractors to ensure projects are completed to specification
  • Creating proposals and presentations for clients and stakeholders
  • Advocating for land conservation, environmental stewardship, and sound land-use practices

The Candidate:

The ideal candidate for this Associate Landscape Architect role will have relevant experience of areas around environmental planning and strategic landscape architecture. You'll also need experience of landscape and townscape planning (tvia and/or tvia).

In addition, you'll need the following:

  • 6 years of experienced gained in the UK as well as being Chartered
  • Strong communication skills, happy to take a lead on projects
  • Strong team coordination skills and know when to take the lead as well as when to delegate on tasks and projects

The ideal person for the role will be the following:

  • Able to work on your own initiative
  • Diligent and have an eye for detail

  • Able to travel to our Birmingham offices for part of the week
