Up to £50,000 per annum OTE - £60,000

We're looking for a talented Commercial Underwriter to work for our client.

They want to recruit someone with demonstrable experience of either, commercial property, commercial combined or liability underwriting.

The Role:

Reporting to the Managing Director and based in the company's Colchester office, as the Commercial Underwriter you will be primarily responsible for ensuring policy placements are handled efficiently and that the client receives the most suitable cover for their needs. You will be tasked with negotiating cover and costs whilst managing the profitability of binders.

In the job you'll be tasked with the following:

- Developing existing market relationships and products

- Developing new and existing sub agent relationships

- Underwriting new and existing business

- Managing key client relationships

- Working within the FCA rules and guidelines as interpreted by the groups compliance policies and processes, particularly on treating customers fairly

The Candidate:

The ideal candidate for this Commercial Underwriter role will have relevant experience of either, commercial property, commercial combined or liability underwriting.

You'll also need experience of policy development and implementation as well as dealing with insurers and key stakeholders.

In addition, you'll need the following:

- Strong and effective communication skills

- Excellent written and verbal skills

- Excellent attention to detail

The Package:

Basic salary: Up to £50,000 per annum

Bonus: A personal bonus of up to £10,000 per annum is also available if you hit your targets
