Role: Maintenance Engineer (electrical bias)

Location: Loughborough

Shifts: x 3 shift rolling rota Monday - Friday

Salary: circa.£46-48k + benefits + enhanced overtime (up to x 2 rate)

We're looking for a talented Maintenance Engineer to work for our client. For this role, we need an engineer with previous electrical maintenance experience.

Our client wants to recruit someone with demonstrable experience working in an industrial engineering, manufacturing, production, or related environment.

Our client has significant CAPEX projects scheduled over the next 12 months. As part of the role, you will play a key part in the project implementation team, giving you excellent project exposure. If that's you, then you could be exactly what they're looking for.

The Role:

As the Maintenance Engineer, you'll report to the Engineering Director and will be primarily responsible for managing the completion of ongoing PPMs (planned preventative maintenance), in addition to any emergency or unforeseen breakdowns.

In the job, you'll be tasked with the following:

  • Planning, installing, testing, operating, maintaining, and repairing all mechanical equipment and facilities.
  • Ensuring the existing legacy plant is maintained to the highest level possible as new plant is invested in and integrated.
  • Carrying out daily checks on essential plant, equipment, and machinery as part of the company's preventative maintenance schedule.
  • Carrying out major refurbishment of plant, equipment, and machinery as directed.
  • The standard working hours for this position are a standard three-shift rota (Monday - Friday).

The Candidate:

The ideal candidate for this Maintenance Engineer role will have relevant experience working in an industrial engineering, production, or manufacturing environment. You'll also need experience of reading hydraulic drawings and working in a bespoke manufacturing environment.

Plus, it's vital that you've got experience taking a logical approach to fault-finding within a demanding manufacturing or production environment.

In addition, you'll need the following:

  • Both electrical and mechanical engineering background
  • Previous experience working in a PPM environment
  • A clear, can-do, and problem-solving approach
