Regional Sales Manager

Role: Regional Sales Manager (Midlands)

Location: Home based (with travel to clients across the 'Midlands' region as required)

Salary Range: £50-65k (on experience) + FX car + Bonus + Benefits

We're looking for a talented Regional Sales Manager to work for our client. This role covers our client's well-established Midlands region, so it would likely suit someone currently living in or around the Midlands.

Our client wants to recruit someone with demonstrable experience working within industrial, manufacturing, construction, building materials, or steel/metals, plastics or rubber composites' related areas. If that's you, then you could be exactly what they're looking for.

The Role:

The Regional Sales Manager role is field-based. Reporting to the National Sales Director and covering the Midlands region, you will be primarily responsible for driving client growth through the identification and nurturing of leads, as well as overseeing pre-existing account relationships – both areas that are showing and will continue to show continued huge growth.

In the job, you'll be tasked with the following:

  • Preparing formal quotations/offers to be submitted to customers, with support from your head office-based sales admin team.
  • Overseeing activity and coordination between the business and the customer from first contact until contract agreement.
  • Monitoring sales target achievement, proposing necessary corrective actions in case of deviations.

The Candidate:

The ideal candidate for this Regional Sales Manager role will have relevant experience working within industrial, manufacturing, building materials, construction, or steel/metals-related sectors.

You'll also need experience of:

  • Monitoring customer satisfaction to collect relevant information that allows the implementation of a long-term commercial relationship strategy, and promptly acting on corrective actions when required.
  • Identifying and developing business with existing and new customers.
  • Managing contracts with the customer, taking care of sharing them with relevant functions and getting internal approval for changes where appropriate.
  • Managing commercial issues during product development up to the product's start of production, with the support of programme management and sales management.

In addition, you'll need the following:

  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong business acumen with a strategic orientation.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, able to deal with problems by providing creative and practical solutions.

You'll also need to be located in or close to the Midlands region to be able to travel to your key clients in the area.

Does that sound like you? If so, we'd love to see your CV.

You will also need a full driving licence for this role. Please do not apply if you do not have one.

The Package:

  • Basic salary: circa £50,000 - £65,000 + bonus + car
  • Benefits: Company car and full corporate benefits package

The Company:

The business you'll be working for is a large industrial engineering group with business assets across Europe and the UK. They're a great company to work for; people join them for many reasons, such as:

  • A clearly supportive and high-performance culture.
  • A reputation for developing future leaders from within the business and offering unrivalled professional development opportunities.
  • An emphasis on empowering employees, allowing those on the ground to make decisions on projects that will aid in their delivery and customer satisfaction.
  • Strong employee loyalty, leading to low staff turnover.
