We're looking for a talented Trainee Surety Underwriter to work for our client.
They want to recruit someone with demonstrable experience of excel and Microsoft office.

The Role:
Reporting to the Surety Director and based in the company's Castlereagh office, as the Trainee Surety Underwriter you will be primarily responsible for underwriting surety business in accordance with the company's business plans and within delegated underwriting authority. You will play a big part in building the company's surety offering, servicing the needs of clients in line with the company's risk appetite and its underwriting guidelines.
In the job you'll be tasked with the following:
- Analysing surety opportunities in accordance with business plans through high quality analysis of both credit assessments and the clients proposed development
- Attending and observing client and broker meetings to build and maintain strong relationships to maximise, influence and drive business origination
- Preparing necessary draft contract documentation including, facility documentation, corporate counter-indemnities and bond wording
- Promoting the department, division, and company, to maximise brand leverage
- Keeping abreast of market dynamics and demonstrate market cycle awareness to be able to operate effectively and appropriately

The Candidate:
The ideal candidate for this Trainee Surety Underwriter role will have relevant experience of excel and Microsoft office.
You'll also need experience of relationship management and data analysis.
In addition, you'll need the following:
- Strong numeracy and literacy skills
- Excellent written and verbal skills
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
The ideal person for the role will be the following:
- Articulate and able to communicate on all levels
- Diligent and have an eye for detail
- Organised and have a methodical approach to work and problem solving

The Package:
Basic salary: Up to £26,000 per annum
Bonus: A bonus of up to £2,600 per annum is also available if the company hits certain targets
