Role: Sales Account Controller

Salary: £35,000-£45,000 per annum (depending on experience) plus benefits and annual bonus

Location: Birmingham

We are currently seeking a highly motivated and customer-oriented Sales professional to join our clients dynamic team. As a Sales Account Controller, you will play a pivotal role in the organisation by serving as the primary point of contact for our valued customers. You will be responsible for facilitating communication, addressing inquiries, providing guidance, and introducing new products while delivering exceptional customer service.

Job Purpose:

Serve as the primary contact for our customers, facilitating communication, addressing inquiries, providing guidance, and introducing new products while delivering exceptional customer service.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Efficiently convert incoming inquiries into sales orders, demonstrating excellent sales conversion skills.
  • Communicate with customers through various channels, both within the UK and internationally, ensuring effective and timely responses.
  • Offer technical support and advice to customers via telephone or email, ensuring accurate and helpful information is provided.
  • Accurately enter and dispatch sales orders, ensuring prompt and efficient order processing.
  • Aid in the resolution of account-related queries upon request, displaying strong problem-solving skills.
  • Prepare quotations promptly in response to customer requests, showcasing attention to detail and product knowledge.
  • Courteously and efficiently update customers on order availability, ensuring transparency and customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate stock levels in the system, contributing to efficient inventory management.
  • Accurately set up part numbers in the system, demonstrating meticulous attention to detail.
  • Handle customer complaints and issues promptly and effectively, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
  • Serve as the liaison between key customers and internal teams, facilitating effective communication and collaboration.
  • Input sales orders and amendments into the system with a high level of accuracy in coding and pricing, ensuring smooth order processing.
  • Source parts to fulfill customer requirements, demonstrating resourcefulness and proactive problem-solving skills.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Previous experience in a similar sales admin, coordinator or similar relevant role is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to interact professionally with customers and internal teams.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and order processing.
  • Proficiency in using CRM systems and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • A proactive and customer-centric approach, with the ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
  • Technical knowledge or experience within the industrial parts industry would be advantageous (but not essential)
