The Role:

In this Data Scientist role you'll report to the CTO and will be responsible for the development and maintenance of their products and operating the analytical framework working closely with R&D colleagues and external stakeholders.

This is a home-based position; with an expectation you can attend monthly meetings once a month in central London. The details around how this will work will be discussed at interview.

The Candidate:

To be the right person for Data Scientist role you will need direct experience of providing specialist and robust analytical and statistical analysis

We also need you to have prior experience of the development of systems and processes to improve complex data sets.

It's also essential that you've got experience of building strategy around future direction of the business in terms to deployment of assets across our rapidly growing data capabilities.

It's important that you also have the following:

• 3 years experience applying machine learning and data science techniques to large data sets
• A working knowledge of data mining techniques in one or more of the following areas: statistical modelling, time series analysis, text mining, optimization, and information retrieval.
• Microsoft Power BI, SQL, Python, and related data analytics
• Previous experience working with multidisciplinary colleagues and teams across the organisation

You'll also need to be the following:

• Maintain strong technical awareness and familiarity with new and upcoming technologies surrounding Data Integration and Business Intelligence Analysis.
• Being a self-starter is an overused phrase but definitely demonstrate a 'can do' and resourceful attitude
• A strong team player, able to manage numerous projects and stakeholders simultaneously
• Excellent communication and influencing skills, both verbally and in writing

The Package:

The basic salary for the Data Engineer role is up to £85,000 per annum DOE.

In addition, you can earn a personal performance bonus in the role if you hit your targets. An annual company performance bonus (paid out for each of the last 5 years) also comes with this role. Full details about the scheme will be revealed at interview.
