Role: Accounts Assistant
Location: Burton upon Trent (onsite role)
Status: 12 month fixed-term contract with the likelihood to become permanent
Salary: Circa.£25-30,000 + benefits

About the Role:
We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Accounts Assistant to join their team. The role will involve a variety of accounting tasks, including posting payments, processing invoices, running reports, assisting with month end preparation and processing payroll.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
- Post payments to client accounts from remittances and online payments received.
- Process purchase invoices to accounting software and match with PO’s, oversee SL and PL.
- Run a weekly debtors report, ensuring client account balances are up to date and help assist chasing overdue balances.
- Assist with month end preparation, such as posting accrual journals and prepayments.
- Support/process the monthly payroll.
What We Are Looking For
- Proven experience in an accounting role and a strong grasp of Excel are essential.
- The ability to work autonomously with initiative and the ability to collaborate effectively within a team environment are key.
- Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills are required to manage and prioritize a diverse range of tasks and responsibilities.
- Demonstrated computer proficiency, including expertise in Excel, is essential.
- Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping are paramount.
- Prior experience in payroll is an asset, though not a prerequisite.
