Location: Warwickshire (hybrid working) with travel to sites as required

Our client is looking for a talented and experienced QHSE Manager to join their team and help them maintain their high standards of quality, health, safety, and environmental performance across their engineering sites.

In this role, you will be responsible for delivering and maintaining all elements of our client's QHSE management systems. This includes developing and maintaining agreed QHSE and other operating standards, working with site management to ensure adherence to these standards, and promoting a positive quality, healthy, safe, and environmentally friendly culture throughout the company.

You will also be responsible for undertaking regular safety inspections and risk assessments, working with senior leadership colleagues to deliver a programme of internal audits across all sites, and assisting in developing QHSE work instruction at site level.

Responsibilities:

  • Help leadership colleagues develop and maintain QHSE standards
  • Ensure sites adhere to the organisation's management systems
  • Assist site management with daily delivery and adherence to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 business standards
  • Help site management comply with all QHSE legislation and safety business standards
  • Work with leadership colleagues to prepare engineering sites for ISO 45001:2015 safety management certification
  • Promote a positive quality, healthy, safe, and environmentally friendly culture throughout the organisation
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments
  • Partner with leadership colleagues to deliver a programme of internal audits across all sites
  • Drive containment, correction, corrective action, and root cause analysis of internal audit findings and customer audits at sites
  • Collaborate with site teams to identify continuous improvement opportunities and support their delivery
  • Assist with developing QHSE work instruction at site level
  • Ensure staff training and toolbox talks are completed as per the organisation's training schedule
  • Promote the adoption of 5S principles and lean management at sites, and the use of H&S boards
  • Compile governance reports, including 5S, QHSE meeting minutes, safety tours, and training delivery schedules
  • Maintain accident/incident reports and assist with investigations where required
  • Adhere to all occupational policies and procedures while working for the organisation, including compliance with drugs and alcohol policies
  • Ensure all work is efficiently planned, controlled, and undertaken safely to the standards set by the organisation
