What will you be doing?

You’ll be leading a team of project manager and assistants to deliver a major transformation programme across this organisation’s National Distribution Center. The programme will focus heavily on automation, implementing both mechanised and technology based improvements, ensuring they offer both efficiency and productivity improvements. You’ll ensure everything is running on time, to plan, and within budget and will manage key relationships with both internal and external stakeholders. You’ll be responsible for the ongoing coaching, mentoring and development of your team and will lead continuous improvement activity across the operation.

What do you need to bring to the party?

To be successful in this role it’s expected that you’ll be able to demonstrate the majority of the following skills and experience:

  • Previous experience of leading complex automation based projects/programmes within a logistics or manufacturing environment – this is considered essential
  • Experience of leading, coaching and developing a team of project managers/assistants
  • An ability to read/understand engineering drawings would be highly advantageous but isn’t considered essential
  • PRINCE2 / PMP / PMI qualified or equivalent is highly desirable
  • Strong communication skills – able to engage and influence at all levels of a business
