Inductive Automation Developer (MES | SCADA)

Our client are a Gold-Certified Inductive Ignition Systems Integrator, is looking for engineering resources experienced in the application of holistic Inductive Ignition-based shop floor data collection, SCADA, and/or MES solutions to manufacturing processes. Experience with associated Sepasoft MES modules is also of benefit. The ideal candidate shall have background in the following areas:

  • Working with customer business stakeholders to define the scope and requirements of the Ignition/Sepasoft solution based upon identified process improvement scenarios.
  • Technical solution design and documentation
  • Implementation of the Ignition/Sepasoft solution, including the following aspects:
    • Connectivity to shop floor equipment data sources (via OPC, MQTT, etc.)
    • Perspective and Vision user interface configuration
    • Report creation
    • Alarm configuration
    • Interaction with SQL data sources (potentially requiring SQL database and query/stored procedure development)
    • Python-based scripting
    • Sepasoft OEE, Track & Trace, SPC, Business Connector, Settings and Changeover, and/or other Sepasoft modules
  • Testing, deployment, and associated application support

The candidate will have the opportunity to apply this experience across various industries and manufacturing processes, working as part of a project team. Proven experience applying the Ignition platform in discrete manufacturing scenarios is of particular benefit. The candidate will be expected to provide guidance and leadership to less experienced team members. The candidate will be required to travel to customer sites to perform requirement gathering, deployment, and post-deployment support activities.

The ideal candidate shall possess Ignition Core or Gold Certifications, or will be expected to have the skillset required to obtain such certification upon employment. The candidate shall preferably have a software engineering/development background.
