PreSales Consultant (Cloud to Public Sector)

This is a long standing, privately owned IT Managed Service Provider who specialise in Dell and Microsoft solutions. As part of their growth strategy they are looking to hire a PreSales Consultantto work with their Public Sector sales teams across the North of England, helping them identify and deliver IT services, both on premise and in the Cloud. A great business to join with lengthy average tenure and a strong, supportive culture.

This business have been very successful in both Private and Public Sector with reference sites such as TATA Chemicals, Chester Zoo, Otter Controls and many organisations in Education, Health and Housing.

This opportunity will involve PreSales work, engaging customers to understand requirements and provide consultancy on the best available solution and service. Liasing with IT Manager/Director/CIO levels of contact, helping with discovery and building a full needs analysis with some basic system proposal and design before handing over to technical. Experience of dealing with tenders and bids is highly advantageous. You will be the Technical lead on certain projects and will combine leadership skills with an ability to translate technical language for a non-technical audience.

Ideally you will have worked to a solutions provider, in a customer facing role. Technical experience with working with as many of the following technologies as possible: Azure IaaS, Microsoft 365, VMWare or Hyper-V, Citrix, Cisco Meraki, Veeam. Technical accreditations will be a big bonus.

The business is willing to look at applications regardless of where you are on your career path - you could be a 3rd Line Engineer or Junior PreSales Consultant looking for a step up, or a CTO or Senior Architect looking to move back into a more customer facing role. Key attributes are a willingness to learn and collaborate with the wider team.
