We’re working with a global experiential marketing agency, who specialise in the automotive sector. They have a reputation for thoroughness and credibility as specialists in the automotive sector. They work with some absolutely incredible clients and take huge pride in what they deliver.
We are looking for a project cost accountant to join a longstanding client, on a 13-month maternity cover. You will report directly in to the UK Managing Director.
The main focus of this role is the accurate and timely reconciliation and invoicing to clients, along with day-to-day financial management duties.
You’re going to be a key liaison between the UK managing director and the Director of Finance, based in the US – as well as working with the wider US account office.
Events regularly delivered by them include press launches, conferences, dealer training events and general experiential marketing activity in the UK, often across Europe and sometimes beyond. This means that some budget reconciliations involve costs in multiple currencies and therefore accurate translation of these costs is key. Budgets can range from £10,000 to £1,000,000.
There’s a pretty extensive lists of key duties, but some important ones: coordinating event logistics, researching potential venues, suppliers and managing the ongoing dialogue, managing guest lists, liaising with freelance staff and supporting the onsite delivery (which may require travel both UK based and international).
As this is a mat cover, you’re going to need to hit the ground running (excuse the cliché) and pick up pretty quickly. You will need to be able to work well under pressure and have sharp attention to detail
This is a global company with the European head office in Banbury, just off the M40. They have taken a really sensible approach to home and office working, not succumbing to ‘presenteeism’ and allowing the professionals they employ to manage their diary around their event planning schedule.
You’ll be on around £35,000 - £40,000 (pro-rata’d) depending on your experience. 25 days holiday + 8 bank holidays and healthcare, too. This is currently being offered as a 4 day a week opportunity, but if you are looking for 5, this can be discussed with the client.
If you are interested or want to know more, call me, send me a message, DM or e-mail - whatever is easiest. We encourage anyone who feels they are suitable to apply, we love seeing diversity in our applicants. We use specialist technology to ensure there is no gender bias in our adverts.
Every applicant will receive a response. We sometimes make mistakes and miss things from CVs, so you will be given an opportunity to receive feedback and discuss the role in more detail if you feel necessary.
