Accounts Manager

As a practice accountant have you spent the last 10 months chained to your desk because your practice will not move with the times?

Have you considered that there are practices out there who encourage flexible and smart working? Who do not expect you in the office 5 days a week and actively encourage you to have a great work/life balance?

As an Accounts Manager you will be managing a portfolio of clients in the agricultural and/or property background. Portfolio size is c£500,000, so you will be used to managing a client base of this size.

You will also have a number of direct reports who will look to you for guidance and best practice support.

Flexibility incredibly important – they have introduced a flexible working scheme which rivals I have ever seen. You’re treated as the professional you are with considerations for your life. The office is located in Banbury, but realistically you could live as far away as necessary, provided you are happy to commute to the office when necessary.

Your core responsibilities are to manage a portfolio of clients and drive the delivery of accounting and tax planning solutions – but let’s be honest, given your experience level, you’re going to know what the position entails.

You will be a relationship builder and have presence in front of these clients. They do not want a ‘yes person’ – they want someone they can form strong partnerships with.

Some rather obvious stuff here, but you’re going to have to be ACA or ACCA qualified, as well as CTA due to the high involvement in taxation queries.

Salary wise you will be looking at £50,000 – £55,000, but these guys are flexible so are open to having a conversation if you feel you are worth more than this. The benefits they offer are probably longer than this entire advert – they are great. So give me a shout to see the full candidate brief.

If you are interested or want to know more, send me a message, DM, call me – whatever is easiest. Having an up-to-dateC V to hand is ideal, but if you haven’t got one immediately, we can still chat through the position and you can learn more.

Every applicant will receive a response. We sometimes make mistakes and miss things from CVs, so you will be given an opportunity to receive feedback and discuss the role in more detail, if you feel necessary.
