Working as a hands-on Security Leader, this candidate has managed large security teams which cover vulnerability management, application security, penetration testing and attack surface reduction. Having built security teams from the group up, as well as trained and developed security staff, he works hand in hand with IT teams to embed security through a people-first approach, bringing his background within IT management to develop strong relationships and embed security throughout the full project lifecycle. He is also a skilled trainer, both in the classroom and in one-to-one mentoring, including topics that include defensive coding, offensive security and ITAM / SAM best practices. 

His technical experience includes expert knowledge of designing, implementing, and delivering Enterprise Scale Vulnerability Management, Application Security, Pen Testing, and Asset Management programs. He has also designed and implemented a greenfield SOC and later provided support to Incident Response Teams as an SME and Threat Intel Specialist. He also has an in-depth knowledge of wider Infosec areas such as Incident Management Red & Blue Teams, Threat Modeling, and Risk & Remediation.

This candidate is looking for a Cyber Security Manager role that is still responsible for technical security direction, rather than purely strategy focussed. He currently spends 1 day a week in the office, and enjoys remote working, with travel as needed to meet key stakeholders. He has built remote teams previously and is skilled at managing remote teams whilst still building great culture.
