Office Manager

Julie Rose Recruitment are looking for an Office Manager to join this growing organisation based in Sidcup. You would be supporting Directors in organising and coordinating office operations and company procedures in order to ensure effectiveness and efficiency, in addition acting as a Gatekeeper for Directors, assisting with personal requirements and event planning.

Duties for the Office Manager

Human Resources:

  • Liaise with external HR Consultant on company policies and employment matters; manage appraisal structure; issue personal correspondence and procedure amendments to employees; develop and maintain job descriptions, liaise with recruitment agencies and manage resources; manage holiday requests; issue contracts, driver’s policies etc.

Health & Safety:

  • Ensure company insurances and accreditations are kept up to date and issued to clients on renewal; combined Liabilities and Office Insurances for all companies in the ‘Group’.

Fleet Management:

  • Manage insurance renewals and additional drivers; maintain records on driving licences, checking every three to six months; correspond with insurance companies, broker and DVLA on accidents/incidents; manage servicing, MOTs, accidents and repairs.

Facilities Management:

  • Ordering office supplies; being responsible for the phone system, photocopier, franking machine, kitchen supplies, milk and post. Also responsible for ensuring maintenance of air conditioning and heating system, alarm system and door entry.


  • Assist Bid Manager in maintaining tender diary, completing PQQs and submitting documentation; check portals for new opportunities and updating company information and contacts; distribute incoming tenders to relevant teams.

General Duties:

  • Update staff with any changes; assist with telephone enquiries; ensure complaints are resolved within guaranteed timelines; manage outgoing post; manage info mailbox and distribute; organise company events for Christmas and summer; monitor office credit card transactions and purchase materials with authorisation.

This is a growing family run company where you will be supporting the staff and directors by making sure day to day activities run smoothly. A varied role with HR, H&S, Facilities and Bids/Tenders involvement.
