Level 7 HR and L&D Skills Coach

We're looking for a Skills Coach who can deliver on the HR and L&D Apprenticeship standards up to level 7. Joining a very established provider, who have been delivering a small portfolio of programmes to date, and done so incredibly well. They are now expanding said portfolio, and both of these are new programmes they are investing in. With a strong client base, they have demand with learners ready to go as they become a full service provider to their clients. You will be the second person in to the business focusing on the level 7 standards. We placed the first in late summer 2023, and they have built the programmes from scratch, and due to the demand of these programmes, they need a second person to support them. You will be supported with functional skills specialists, so this will be handled separately. We have worked with this provider for over 4 years now, and have seen them grow over these years with great retention.

So why should you consider this employer?

You’ll be working with a training provider who started in Apprenticeship subcontracting other employer contracts, and in the last 4 years have gained Main provider status, and last year achieved a grade GOOD in their first Ofsted inspection. A smaller business (circa 30 heads), they formed a few years ago, and it’s in the past few years, despite covid, that they’ve really flourished and grown.

Their own hiring strategy is unique compared to most FE providers also, in the fact that they look to hire from both inside and outside of the education sphere. The wider business boasts a good mix of education and commercial L&D staff, both from an SME and corporate stand point, which brings a wealth of new ideas and different cultures into the business that is in turn parted on to clients and learners to offer best in class service.

They have a good team balance, ultimately people stay and they stay for good reasons – well paid (up to £40k for this one plus car allowance) hybrid/Remote working, very social and inclusive team from top to bottom.

So more on the role …

You will be joining an existing team that are spread across the UK delivering Apprenticeships in Hospitality, Ops, Facilities, and Project management – the focus for this role is the HR and L&D standards, both of which are new to the provider. This means you will be able to be involved in designing the curriculum and resources here to make them fit for purpose.

Blended learning delivery model, so if you still like a mix of remote working and getting out in to the work place this one will be right up your street.

They are working with a range of businesses, including a handful of well known names in the UK across facilities and leisure/hospitality management.

A big factor of attraction for this role will be the people in the business – the core role is similar to many of the roles we know in the sphere, but unique parts will be around this bespoke curriculum that is designed and delivered for clients. They use modern learning technology to create an engaging learning environment for their clients, which helps high levels of commitment to learning.
