Facilities Management Skills Coach

Facilities Management Skills Coach
£35k Salary, plus £4.8k car allowance
Home based, with the odd learner visit

It’s not often these roles come along….. Mainly because not many providers are approved to deliver this programme, but it's one that is seeing huge demand from a learner and employer point of view and have some big plans to tranform the wider delivery of FM programmes, both through apprenticeships and commercial courses.

So why should you consider this employer?

You’ll be working with a training provider who since December 2021, have tripled in size going from a headcount of 15, to 50+ as of Jan 2025. Their core focus is delivering Management based training programmes from level 3 up to level 7.
Their own hiring strategy is unique compared to most FE providers also, in the fact that they look to hire from both inside and outside of the education sphere. The wider business boasts a good mix of education and commercial L&D staff, both from an SME and corporate stand point, which brings a wealth of new ideas and different cultures into the business that is in turn parted on to clients and learners to offer best in class service.

They have a good team balance, ultimately people stay and they stay for good reasons – well paid (up to £35k for this one plus car allowance) hybrid/Remote working, very social and inclusive team from top to bottom. Having placed almost half the current team, I can give a number of success stories and case studies. If you are looking to be involved in wider areas, or want to upskill with a certain qualification, then this is something that can be achieved here as personal progression is at the core of their values.

So more on the role …

You will be joining an existing team that are spread across the UK delivering level 5 Apprenticeships in Hospitality, Ops, Facilities, and Project management – the focus for this one is the level 4 Facilities Management standard. However, if you can do the Leadership & Management programme as well, this would be great. You'll find that many of your learners will be aspiring managers within companies such a Mitie (big contract here).

We do need someone experienced and qualified in delivering the Apprenticeship standards for this role. However, if you haven't yet delivered the Facilities Management standard - but have worked in this sort of field before - and have delivered similar Apprenticeships like Project Management, and leadership & Management, then we can offer the support needed to come to terms with the requirements of this particular standard.

Typically, they utilise a blended learning delivery model, however for this role is home based - so location is not an issue! (if you can get to London 1-2 times a month that would be great but not essential).

They are working with a range of businesses, including a handful of well known names in the UK across facilities and leisure/hospitality management.
A big factor of attraction for this role will be the people in the business – the core role is similar to many of the roles we know in the sphere, but unique parts will be around this bespoke curriculum that is designed and delivered for clients. They use modern learning technology to create an engaging learning environment for their clients, which helps high levels of commitment to learning.
