Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst

Role: Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst

Location: Hybrid (London/Home)

Salary: £30k

Purpose of the role: Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst

Ownership of end-to-end quality in a digital squad. Ensures all guidelines are adhered to throughout the end-to-end execution. Overall responsibility for low defect rates and high quality of execution.

Key Responsibilities: Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst

Quality Assurance:

  1. Reviews all documentation provided to or created by the squad.
  2. Collaborates with the product owner to define acceptance criteria up front, clarify scope and create/socialize a test plan with appropriate test cases.
  3. Responsible for test execution using a variety of techniques including static, integration, system, and acceptance testing.
  4. Identify issues during testing and collaborate with other squad team members i.e., content editor, UXD and developers to resolve.
  5. Inspire and motivate the squad to be passionate about quality.
  6. Educate and engage other team members in testing to improve the velocity of the squad

Experience, Knowledge & Expertise – Essential: Quality Assurance (QA) Analyst

Demonstrable knowledge, skills, and experience in the Quality assurance discipline

A proactive approach to strategically managing quality.

Proven delivery experience in a complex IT environment with a high volume of change.

Ability to engage squad in quality assurance execution.

General experience of working in a digital function with a good understanding of common technology.

Experience of working in scrum.

Proven ability to manage multiple projects and deliveries simultaneously.

An accomplished, credible, and respected professional with well-developed stakeholder management, communication, influencing, and negotiation skills gained in a complex organisation.

Thorough understanding of iterative development, incremental delivery, and software development processes/lifecycle.

Collaborative working style with a clear and relentless focus on delivering outcomes.
