Role: Lead Software Engineer (Mobile)
Location: Homebased (must have RTW in UK)
Salary: £75k- £85k

Our UK based team are looking for a smart, passionate, and results-oriented software engineer to help us develop innovative software initiatives across our software suite. - Design and build all aspects of software solutions, from architectural overview to hands on coding, in a friendly team with a wealth of knowledge about the industry
- Be part of the full application lifecycle (design, develop, test, deploy and maintain), innovating in each step
- Apply advanced methods, theories, and research techniques to establish ongoing direction, specification, design, development and implementation of technology vision and strategy
- Learn and apply new technologies used by the team in software solutions for which it is responsible
- Work with cross-functional teams to design and build solution integrations
- Provide guidance and oversight on technical matters within a solution to ensure the technologies are secure, interoperable, and supportive of the company’s vision and strategy
- Actively coach, mentor and teach others; use influence, expertise and leadership to support other teams as they implement technology solutions
- Analyse and improve efficiency, scalability and stability of applications while delivering impactful business value
- Protect our customers, our employees, and our brands by incorporating security and compliance in all decisions; ensure security policy and procedure requirements are met; continuously identify opportunities for improving security and implement strategies to improve our security posture

Qualifications
Basic Requirements:
- Extensive expertise in development of native mobile applications using modern programming languages and frameworks
- Extensive experience with development of business level applications utilizing an object-oriented programming language
- Strong experience architecting and developing large complex applications
- Great experience working in CI/CD and DevOps environments
- Aptitude to quickly learn new programming languages and technologies
- A proven team player with demonstrable commitment to team goals
- Demonstrable experience of working in a team utilizing Agile methodology
- Must be willing to travel up to 10% domestically
Preferred qualification:
- Proficiency with back-end development for mobile applications
- Familiarity with JIRA, Confluence and similar tools
- Experience with full-stack development
- Experience designing and developing in micro-service environments
- Experience working on applications that leverage Service Oriented Architecture (SOA)
- Experience in cloud computing (AWS, Azure or Google Cloud)
- Experience with Linux
- Demonstrable experience in implementation of good security practices
- Understanding of containerized and/or virtualized deployments
- Understanding of scaled Agile frameworks
- Experience of working in international organizations
