We are working with a client and their mission is one of the most worthy ones I have ever come across (ask me about this in our call) and one I fully endorse!

We’re looking for a junior buyer to join their procurement and buying team in a newly created role. This is a new position created off the back of an internal promotion - demonstrating their commitment to your personal progression!

This role is going to be for someone who is a ‘doer’ and enjoys getting involved with a variety of different procurement-related tasks.

The majority of your time will be supporting the team on the packaging requirements in order to maintain optimum stock levels balancing best cost with the lowest risk of waste. You will be proactively looking to source new suppliers and review existing partnerships.

On top of this, you will be working closely with the team on the management of the raw materials (fresh produce). As you can imagine this is very seasonal, so having experience with this would be highly beneficial!

You will also be involved in managing systems in order to support the sustainability program with key suppliers whilst keeping up to date with market trends. It would be really advantageous if you had an experience of this, but it’s not a prerequisite as there is great training available with the team.

They’re returning to their South Oxfordshire office at the end of June, so you can realistically expect to spend at least two days in the office from July and a nice mix of remote working as well.

The salary is very much dependent on your experience but is certainly in line with and above market averages. There are also plenty of other benefits to working here which we can go through when we speak.
