We’re searching for a head of membership services to join a professional body in an exciting and rapidly growing field of academia. This is a newly created position and will see you become the ‘face’ of the membership organisation.
Fundamentally, you are going to curate and drive the value proposition to members, as well as ensuring they are receiving an exemplary customer service. As this is a new role it will require you to have an entrepreneurial spirit and be someone who makes things happen (not just talk about making them happen!).
There is going to be a heavy focus on creating a sustainable engagement strategy to drive new membership as well as keep retention rates high. So, if you have a creative and strategically focussed mind, this would be hugely beneficial. You will have full autonomy on producing this, albeit with a lot of support and guidance from your colleagues if you need it.
As part of this role, you will be liaising with subject matter experts and content developers to produce outstanding and engaging content. This can range from bite size short form pieces right up to podcasts with industry experts. Recognising and aligning the type and quality of content with membership needs is going to be a key contributor to your success in the role.
This role is going to suit someone who has substantial experience in a management or customer service role in a membership environment and can really get produce strategies which really resonate with their membership base.
You are going to be treated like the professional you are – no micro-management, no being treated like a child – just support, encouragement and the tools to do your job in the most effective way.
This is a remote based role, however there will be occasional travel to the head office (High Wycombe) and also north and southern India.
Salary wise you are looking around 45k, depending on your experience. The organisation is happy to fund CPD and relevant training if required. You will also get 25 days’ worth of annual leave + a closure between Christmas and new year (which are not taken from your allowance).
