Are you a Finance Manager who is not completely satisfied in your current role? Think there are better opportunities out there? There is.
This family business started 12 years ago and have ambitions of it becoming one of the biggest retailers in the UK. With headcount growth of 50 to 200 people in just 3 years, they’re well on their way. This includes 40 people in the last 6 months alone!
As the Finance Manager, you’ll be the operational leader. You’ll be an expert at managing people, whilst also having a solid understanding of operational processes.
Working as part of a wider finance team of 7, you’ll have three direct reports (two Financial Assistants and a Credit Controller) and an important part of this role will be making sure you get the best out of this trio.
You won’t mind being a bit hands-on either and are more than happy to chip in when needed. After all, collaboration is what this business base it’s recent success on.
You’re not a micromanager, but you provide enough support and guidance to help structure the teams workload, ensuring that deadlines are met. You recognise a hard worker, and that saying ‘Well Done’ is important too.
As you may have guessed, having previous experience managing a finance team is very important for this position.
Working for a business that is rapidly growing, inevitably, things are going to change. You’ll need to be comfortable with this, and hopefully even excited about it, as you’ll be leading some of the change. You’ll oversee transactional processes, and will constantly be looking at ways that could make this bit a little smoother, and this part a bit more efficient.
You’ll ideally have experience using ZenDesk, and Quickbooks, however, this isn’t a must as there is some great training available.
You’ll be interviewed via video, and if we still haven’t returned to the office based on government guidelines when you’re ready to start, then you’ll be trusted to get going from home.
You get a salary of up to £30,000, which you may end up spending a chunk on the companies’ products thanks to their hefty staff discount.
If you are interested or want to know more (including seeing the full client job brief), send me a message, DM, call me – whatever is easiest. Having an up-to-date CV to hand is ideal, but if you haven’t got one immediately, we can still chat through the position and you can learn more.
Every applicant will receive a response. We sometimes make mistakes and miss things from CVs, so you will be given an opportunity to receive feedback and discuss the role in more detail if you feel necessary.
