When you are selling products, working with a tangible product that is a genuine market leader will make your life so much easier, especially when working in a highly competitive market. But if you're a competitive person and are looking for a new opportunity in B2B sales, then this should interest you!

Due to continued growth, we are looking for a New Business Manager to join a growing sales team, sourcing opportunities within a global market. They're an international business that designs, manufactures and sells telecommunications equipment.

Another thing that is going to make things easier is the fact the client invests considerable resources into research and development to ensure they're always at the cutting edge of functionality, so the product you sell is an ever-evolving piece of kit - which you will be an expert on.

As an established New Business professional, it's an absolute prerequisite that you possess strong communication skills, (both written and verbal) as you're going to need to be confident in liaising with potential customers from your outbound sales calls to secure the new business. You will be an active networker and understand that selling requires a blended approach, as does sourcing leads - so will have experience finding your own leads.

You will be working with a specific subset of a telecoms product portfolio, so you will become a product expert on this through continuous training to get you to a subject matter expert level.

Ultimately, you are going to be responsible for securing new business and then nurturing the relationship to grow the account, so a hunter and farmer mentality is needed here. You can reasonably expect to spend about 25% of your day on the phone, so having previously performed a similar B2B position is really important (in fact, if you have never done B2B sales I do not think this role would be suitable to be your first in it).

From a salary perspective, you will be looking at c£30,000 with the ability to earn commission on top of this. This is an office-based position, so please ensure you are within comfortable commuting distance to Borehamwood.
