Who are we working with?

Talent Chief is partnering with a national recruitment agency that focuses exclusively on the civil engineering sector. Renowned for connecting high-calibre construction professionals with leading firms across the UK, they pride themselves on industry expertise, integrity, and excellent client service. They are widely established in the UK and are on the PSLs for some major household names when it comes to projects. They have a large team of recruiters servicing numerous accounts and are in the process of expanding further.

What are we looking for?

Due to continued success and expansion, they are looking for a Client Engagement Director to oversee the majority of their big accounts from their Central London Office. Someone with a passion for construction and recruitment, and has managed teams of consultants before, would be preferable. You will be responsible for identifying and engaging with current clients, expanding their requirements, working closely with the resourcing team, and developing long-term relationships within the construction industry. The ideal candidate will have experience in the recruitment industry

What is the job?

As the Client Engagement Director in a construction recruitment agency, your primary focus will be on nurturing and expanding existing relationships within the client base, and managing the Delivery Team to maximise potential. You will understand clients’ hiring needs, promote the agency’s services, and tailor solutions to attract top construction talent. You will work closely with recruitment consultants and senior management to meet growth targets and strengthen the agency’s reputation in the industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with clients and key industry stakeholders.
  • Present recruitment solutions and value propositions to clients.
  • Understand client staffing requirements and advise on market trends and talent availability.
  • Collaborate with internal recruitment teams to ensure client needs are met effectively.
  • Attend industry events, conferences, and client meetings to enhance visibility and relationships.
  • Contribute to marketing and promotional initiatives to position the agency as a leading recruitment partner within construction.

Requirements:

  • Previous managerial experience within recruitment, preferably within construction and/or and agency setting
  • Knowledge of the construction industry clients, roles, and talent market.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
  • Self-motivated with a strategic and entrepreneurial approach.
  • Strong network within the construction industry is desirable.
  • Ability to manage multiple client accounts and targets simultaneously.
  • Familiarity with CRM software and sales tools.
