Position: Relationship Manager- Funded Training

Location: Cambridgeshire

Package: £30,000 to £40,000 PA plus OTE (on target earnings)

NWR are proud to be working on behalf of a training provider who offer exceptional delivery for employment, skills, apprenticeships, and business support.

To continue inspiring and enabling individuals and employers, they are looking for experienced and dynamic Relationship Managers to join their team.

The role consists of developing strong relationships and generating and securing revenue streams to contribute towards the success of government funded contracts. Alongside this, you will support the development of a bid pipeline and increase the share of business and revenue in the geographical area.

You'll be responsible for providing 360-degree business development and relationship management of employers, local stakeholders (Local Authorities; JCP; LEPs, Chambers of Commerce etc), funders and local community organisations.

Main Tasks & Responsibilities

  • Building a portfolio of prospective employers, stakeholders, and community organisations to engage with
  • Implementing a business development plan for each prospect
  • Working with the marketing department to create sales collateral
  • Identifying new business opportunities and potential bid opportunities
  • Securing apprenticeships and traineeships alongside opportunities for other contracts such as SSW and Youth Provision
  • Providing local intelligence on the geographical area of responsibility to contribute to bids
  • Ensuring that the training offer is sold to employers and learners to meet project targets and meet the market demand
  • Developing strong relationships with operational teams across the geographical area

Knowledge / Technical Skills

  • Telesales/field sales experience

  • Commercial and business awareness

  • Knowledge of government funded training provision and apprenticeships including funding rules

  • Knowledge of how to research and identify prospective customers

  • Excellent communication skills, both spoken and written

  • Ability to manage others - motivating, mentoring, and appraising

  • Ability to manage multiple demands and think quickly including excellent prioritization and organization skills
