Financial Controller
Financial Controller - Kingston Upon Thames - Up to £70k
A global leader in their field is looking for a highly motivated and experienced financial controller You will play a critical role in overseeing the financial operations of the company and providing strategic guidance to senior management.
Role:
- Oversee the day-to-day financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
- Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance and mitigate financial risks.
- Monitor and analyse financial performance, providing insights and recommendations to senior management for decision-making.
- Manage cash flow, liquidity, and working capital to optimise financial resources and support the company's growth objectives.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive financial efficiency and cost reduction initiatives.
- Prepare and oversee the monthly disbursements and reporting of managed and leased aircraft to owners.
- Lead the monthly reporting and periodic forecasting processes, ensuring accuracy, comprehensiveness, and alignment with business objectives.
- Conduct financial analysis, variance analysis, and performance evaluation to identify areas for improvement and support strategic planning.
- Manage and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of high performance, collaboration, and continuous learning.
- Set clear goals and objectives for the team, monitoring performance, and providing regular feedback and guidance.
Experience required:
- Accountancy Qualification ACA/ACCA/CIMA with at least 3 years PQE.
- Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar role, preferably in a fast-paced and complex organisation.
- Ability to get stuck in and earn respect.
- Strong knowledge of financial management principles, accounting under IFRS.
- Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
