Financial Controller - Kingston Upon Thames - Up to £70k

A global leader in their field is looking for a highly motivated and experienced financial controller You will play a critical role in overseeing the financial operations of the company and providing strategic guidance to senior management.

Role:

  • Oversee the day-to-day financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance and mitigate financial risks.
  • Monitor and analyse financial performance, providing insights and recommendations to senior management for decision-making.
  • Manage cash flow, liquidity, and working capital to optimise financial resources and support the company's growth objectives.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive financial efficiency and cost reduction initiatives.
  • Prepare and oversee the monthly disbursements and reporting of managed and leased aircraft to owners.
  • Lead the monthly reporting and periodic forecasting processes, ensuring accuracy, comprehensiveness, and alignment with business objectives.
  • Conduct financial analysis, variance analysis, and performance evaluation to identify areas for improvement and support strategic planning.
  • Manage and mentor the finance team, fostering a culture of high performance, collaboration, and continuous learning.
  • Set clear goals and objectives for the team, monitoring performance, and providing regular feedback and guidance.

Experience required:

  • Accountancy Qualification ACA/ACCA/CIMA with at least 3 years PQE.
  • Proven experience as a Financial Controller or similar role, preferably in a fast-paced and complex organisation.
  • Ability to get stuck in and earn respect.
  • Strong knowledge of financial management principles, accounting under IFRS.
  • Excellent leadership and people management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
