Finance Systems Analyst - London / Hybrid - Up to £45k

A dynamic and entrepreneurial supply chain, pricing and financing services company are looking for a Finance Systems Analyst.

You will be a key component in supporting the company's finance system development and reporting requirements globally. The main function of this role will be to support the on-going digitalisation which will allow the finance team to operate more effectively and efficiently.

This role sits within finance and works in partnership with the IT team.

Role:

• Collect and analyse finance data to find bottlenecks and other issues including those that could stem from supply chain, accounting, or trading data.
• Identify areas within the finance flows for more efficiency by collaborating with treasury, operations, trading, compliance and risk departments.
• Assist the global business units in the development and implementation of digitalisation initiatives.
• Identify gaps and/or areas in the workflow and implement controls to ensure compliance with the company policies and procedures.
• Support the continuous improvement of processes, procedures, and digital solutions.
• Work with the data team to identify and scope financing reporting requirements.
• Work with Product Owners and other Business Stakeholders to ensure that business/systems requirements are understood and aligned with trade finance requirements and associated "user stories" are captured to an appropriate level, "user acceptance testing" plans are identified and followed, issues are documented/prioritised accordingly and "go live"/ "communication plans" established.
• Work with the development team including UX Designers, system developers and quality assurance to ensure that requirements are clearly understood by all parties, smoothing the development lifecycle, and driving project execution.
• Create and maintain the relevant Product Backlogs & User Stories using Jira.
• Create and maintain the relevant project/development timeline using Jira/Roadmunk.
• Undertake initial testing of solutions ensuring that the system is ready before exposing to the business for UAT.

Experience required:

• Strong quantitative, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Knowledge of business/systems analysis and specifically the gathering of requirements and translation of these into "user stories" to facilitate software development.
• Demonstrable track record of development projects as a: Finance/Business/Systems Analyst, Project Manager or Product Owner.
• Able to work on both tactical and strategic implementations as well as ongoing systems enhancements.
