Financial Controller £80k+ London / Remote – Media / Retail

7 years big 4 practice and 4 years industry experience  

Experienced working with both FTSE 100 clients and SME’s mostly within media and publishing but also has some retail client experience.

Experiences includes:

• Review of finance function and implementation of processes and controls across all finance functions (including design of processes for team and sign off key controls). Including accounts receivable, payable, cash, payroll etc.
• Managed complete accounting software migration (planning, execution and review) from Quickbooks to NetSuite (Oracle).
• Reviewed and analysed management accounting information reported directly to the board of directors (Analysis on balance sheet, profit and loss, debtors, creditors and agent performance).
• Oversight of team of 3 accountants and delegation of tasks and responsibilities empowering team members.
• Preparation of model and implementation of new companywide commission structure, including designing the model with key stakeholders (directors) and delivery of model to employees.
• Key input in preparation of 5-year plan and strategy for business.
• Responsible for the submission of FRS 102 accounts to HMRC (Key contact for external accountants).
• Preparation and submission of R&D tax credit claim.
