Financial Controller £75k+ London / Remote – Fintech specialist

8 years post qualified experience with 5 years in practice

Possesses all round financial management experience including statutory and management accounts preparation, cashflow and equity management, series A funding, budgeting and financial modelling.

Experiences includes:

• Successfully implemented a new finance system and developed internal reporting from “scratch”.
• Work with third party firms on R&D, corporation tax returns (UK and US) and statutory accounts.
• Supported Founders and CEO in fundraising activities (producing financial models and finance slides, building a data room, due diligence process).
• Financial modelling (long-term cashflow/P&L forecasts, investment scenarios, business valuation, cap table, cash burn and runway etc.)
• Liaising with local financial reporting teams of overseas subsidiaries, ensuring required information for group reporting was received on time.
• Group cash flow management and preparation of monthly cash burn report.
• Responsible for Intercompany billing, Intercompany charges and monthly Intercompany reconciliations between 5 entities.
• Managed the Company Cap Table, including equity incentive schemes (e.g. EMI options, Unapproved Scheme).
• Assisted with company secretarial administration (annual returns, EMI share valuation, HMRC share reporting, preparing expenses).
• EIS advance assurance application, issuing EIS compliance certificates etc.)
