ERP Specialist - Business Analysis & Project Delivery

My client is looking for an ERP Support Specialist to become the central point of contact for all things Business Central (ERP). This role is fast-moving, and varied and will enable you to put your stamp on the position, department, and technology.

It will also enable you to build valuable skills in Microsoft Business Central, the hottest ERP around and perfect for someone who has worked with an ERP system in support, business analysis or ERP project delivery previously.

And the best bit is, you don’t need to come with Dynamics / BC experience, so long as you’ve worked with and supported an ERP system you’ll get the knowledge, training and investment in BC, which, quite honestly would be career transformational.

My client is a highly successful family-run advanced manufacturing company with a strong presence and good reputation within the Aerospace industry. Investment in its people is a key policy of its culture, and to ensure that they continue to meet the high standards expected by our customers.

About the role
The role represents an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to join the business and assume responsibility for 1st and 2nd line support for ERP (Business Central) while also being responsible for the implementation of remaining work packages and sprints, including the optimisation of Business Information and reporting from Business Central and the roll-out of a comprehensive training plan.

About you
The successful candidate will have an appetite to learn and improve, bringing positive energy and a “can do” attitude. You will be a self-starter, creating momentum to drive through change and good practices based on the experience of knowing “what good looks like”, and helping the Senior Management Team to achieve the Company’s IT Objectives.

You will have an innovative mindset, and be an effective communicator working with end users of the ERP system and with our chosen Microsoft partner. You will have an analytical mindset, with the necessary skills to extract information and data from the system and organise it into a coherent form that facilitates Management review, preferably through the use of various dashboards and Power BI reports, which you will gain experience of in the role.

Principle responsibilities include but are not limited to:

1. Technical Support/Main POC for BC - Overall responsibility for ERP / Business Central. This includes the development of self-help materials and empowerment of super users in key areas of the business.

2. Working with the third party on projects related to ERP BC Upgrades/Migration including UAT and the capture of evolving issues following go live.

3. Roll out of comprehensive training plan/materials: Capture training requirements for different departments and key Business Central users and develop a strategy for the development of materials to address the most common issues and a detailed and documented training plan to be executed to cascade Business Central capabilities into the business. 4. Development Sprints: Work with the Microsoft partner to pull together the final development sprint for the ERP implementation and partner with them to execute, working with the Business to smooth the transition ensuring a high-level end-user experience

Qualifications & Experience

  • ERP system essential - ideally, but not a prerequisite - Microsoft Dynamics Business Central, Dynamics

  • At least 3 years experience working in an ERP orientated role

  • Prior experience in a manufacturing environment is desirable

  • Experience in how Business processes are optimised in the ERP system

  • Some experience of project management

  • Ability to present confidently in front of senior management

  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills (Power BI preferable)

  • Must hold a full, clean driving license

The successful candidate will be primarily based at our Halesowen site but will be required to work across all sites as necessary to fulfill the role. This is a full-time permanent position, Monday to Friday, 35 hours per week.

If you’re working in a Business or Process Analyst role, or you provide ERP support we’d love to talk to you, this is a varied role and as such we can consider people that come from different backgrounds, with different strengths, although stakeholder/user management and ERP knowledge are essential.
