Job Description:

As an IT Infrastructure Engineer, youll play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing IT infrastructure, supporting growth and sustainability. Design, implement, and secure network solutions with Cisco Security. Configure VPNs for secure remote access. Manage VMWare ESX virtualized environments. Ensure data protection and disaster recovery. Collaborate on Azure-based solutions. Troubleshoot and maintain IT systems.

NOTE: This is an onsite role with homeworking available - preference would be 3 or 4 in the office in central Nottingham

Key Responsibilities:

- Design, implement, and maintain network security with Cisco technologies.

- Configure and manage secure VPNs.

- Administer VMWare ESX environments.

- Ensure data protection and disaster recovery.

- Collaborate on Azure-based solutions and projects.

- Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues.

- Monitor system performance and address concerns.

- Evaluate new IT infrastructure technologies.

- Maintain documentation of configurations and procedures.

- Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support.

Qualifications:

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field.

- 3 years as an IT Infrastructure Engineer.

- Proficiency in Cisco Security technologies.

- VPN configuration and maintenance experience.

- VMWare ESX expertise.

- Familiarity with Veeam Backup and Azure.

- Strong network protocol knowledge.

- Problem-solving and teamwork skills.

- Relevant certifications a plus (CCNA/CCNP, VCP, Azure) - not essential
