Test Engineer and Senior Test Engineer for a UK Aerospace / Defence organisation that offers a fully integrated escape system that satisfies the very latest in pilot operational capability and safety standards. The company offers end-to-end service’, from helping the customer to establish operational safety and escape requirements, including design, development and qualification, to on-going support throughout the entire service life of the aircraft.
Test Engineering and Environmental Test
Test Engineer & Senior Environmental Test Engineer working in the Environmental Test Engineering department. Producing detailed, precise and technical documentation to describe the Engineering Test procedure to be enacted, criteria against which success shall be measured and requirements being met. Generating through test, data analysis or a combination of the two, credible and substantive evidence to demonstrate compliance with the Test and Environmental Test requirements of customer specifications. Producing detailed, precise and technical test reports to present the results, analysis and technical discussion in order to obtain customer approval. Providing technical support for queries raised both internally by Engineering Departments, Test Engineering and Environmental Test Engineering colleagues as well as externally by internal and external customers
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
- - Conduct and supervise product Tests and Testing.
- - Evaluate post Test Engineering data, through reduction analysis and interpretation of instrumentation data and develop analysis tools.
- - Preparation of Test Engineering Procedure, plans and schedules to include test facility selection and oversight, test design and fixture development
- - Prepare and issue Test Engineering Reports for review and approval by customer(s) both internal and external.
- - Assist in the development of test programmes in order to satisfy programme and customer requirements
- - Provide guidance and support to junior Test Engineers on issues of test conduct, results interpretation and fault investigations.
- - Conduct detailed analysis of any failure encountered during Test Engineering.
- - Advise internal and external customers/suppliers/partners etc on Test Engineering queries.
- - Provide advice to customers, government authorities (US Government, MOD etc.) and suppliers on technical matters related to Engineering Testing.
EDUCATION & QUALIFICATIONS:
- Degree in Mechanical / Aeronautics / Electronics engineering or similar discipline.

- - Knowledge of Vibration Testing and Climatic test techniques and systems.
- - Extensive data analysis skills.
- - Advanced knowledge of Excel, Word, and PowerPoint tools.
KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE The ideal applicant will have:
- - Broad experience in conducting successful Environmental Tests and producing reports and technical data.
- - Familiarity of Military and civilian test standards including MIL-STD-810, RTCA DO-160 & Defence Standard 00-970.
