Mechanical Engineer responsible for ensuring the safety of Aerospace Safety Devices through the companies product portfolio, through investigations resulting in corrective and proactive continuous improvement of designs and processes.
Mechanical Engineering role will generate design concepts in line with regulatory and customer requirements and in line with the engineering specification, including associated international and military US MIL STD/ UK Def. Stan. standards as well as internal safety requirements ISO 15288. Experience of working with regulatory bodies CAA,MAA,FAA.It also requires the production of commercially viable product definition information (PDI) including 3D models, detail, and assembly engineering drawings.
Working with the Product Safety Dept. with effective workload planning, generation of technical calculations and corresponding reports, design reviews and presentations is also required to support the development of the design. As is the necessity to work effectively with internal and external customers to achieve the optimum design through in-depth consultation with all project stakeholders.
Applicants for this MEchanical Engineering position must be UK based for Defence clearance and have either 1st / 2.1 Mechanical Engineering Degree or Aerospace Engineering Degree both Accredited by IMechE.
