Trainee Software Test Engineer

This role is going to have a huge impact on someone. I've genuinely not felt so excited about a role before.

We need someone who is keen to get in to a hands-on high-tech software company. You'll be working in the test team and putting all the software and equipment through it's paces. Creating test samples, trying to break the software, mucking around with Raspberry Pi, doing some manual software testing, and learning automation with Python (eventually, you'll be an expert at this stuff!)

Absolutely no experience is needed, you just need some STEM field background (A-levels or degree level) and a genuine passion for wanting to get in to hands on software testing, and developing a huge number of skills.

Salary will be generous for a role of this nature. It's £25k - £30k. If you have a bit of experience we may be able to go a bit above that, but not too far as we really are looking for someone who can be trained up.

Our client are a high-tech company who create cutting edge algorithms for smart homes, communications, automotive and even quality of life devices.

Requirements for application:

  • A genuine desire to want to get in to a hands on role in the software world
  • A proven interest in software - Whether that be through having a degree, or A-levels in STEM with some hobbyist experience of software / software testing
  • Some exposure to command line Linux

If you have some experience of software testing already, great, but as this is a trainee role it will not be required. Similarly if you have a bit of Python coding experience, great! But that will all be taught.

  • Salary: £25k - £30k (we may be able to consider slightly above this if the experience is right, but not too far as we really are looking for someone who can benefit a lot from training)
  • Flexible working
  • Long term hybrid / remote working (though at the start it needs to be on site primarily so you you can learn!)

Such a great opportunity, so if this isn't for you but you have friends / family who could benefit to hear about it please do get in touch or pass on our details.
