Have you ever wanted to work with medical devices, but never had the opportunity to the strict entry requirements required by most companies in this field? If so this is a fantastic chance for you to use your software engineering skills in an environment that makes a real difference to the world.

Our client has grown significantly over the past 12 months due to a number of long-term partnership agreements with companies in both the medical and consumer goods markets. As such we are seeking 3 new software engineers to join the team on a permanent basis.

Of course some medical experience would be considered useful, but it is not required. Our client have an incredible QA team who are able to take up any slack on the regulatory side of development, leaving you to do what a software engineer does best. Create well engineered software!

You would be working for one of the most sought after employers in the Cambridge markets. A company who can back up that claim with multiple awards and very low staff turnover. Please note that the pay scale for this position is wide as we are recruiting multiple engineers at different salary levels.

Our client's offices are based in a modern purpose built building in West Cambridge. Long term they will be bringing back a hybrid approach to remote and flexible working that will be organised directly with your team leaders to ensure that you get the best possible plan for both you and the team.

Requirement for application:

  • Embedded C
  • A well-rounded software engineer with some exposure to other languages, such as Python, C++ or C#
  • Microcontrollers
  • Experience with version control systems - preferably Git
  • A desire to push yourself to progress technically, constantly developing your skills and learning new things
  • Excellent communication skills

Beneficial but not required:

  • Exposure to medical domain
  • Linux - whether that is development on Linux platforms, kernel drivers, or even sysadmin
  • Real-time operating systems
  • Ability to create well-documented software
