The environment is hot right now in more ways than one.
Everyone wants to make a positive impact - from plastic free households to organisations planting trees. But as science and data routinely ramps-up the urgency of the climate cause, it’s common to ask: “Are we doing enough?”
We’re hiring for a startup that’s determined to make a meaningful difference. On a mission to support businesses in their net zero transition by providing the tools and software infrastructure to scale the measurement, reduction, and offsetting of greenhouse gas emissions.
Joining as a Full-Stack engineer, you’ll be the first to take responsibility for building these planet-saving products. You'll work directly with the founders and oversee the full software development life cycle, from conception to deployment.
This team has built and developed successful companies and products before, including a unicorn that’s fast becoming a household name. Though still an early stage startup in stealth mode, they’re well-funded and they operate with a level of maturity that can only accompany a solid track record.
Day-to-day, you’ll oversee the design and creation of scalable software. You’ll be part of a cross-functional agile team of developers, product design, and product managers. You’ll design and develop client and server-side applications, and internal and public APIs. You’ll write clean, well-documented code, and be involved in troubleshooting, debugging, and upgrading software. You’ll write technical documentation, and work with data scientists and analysts on continuous product improvements.
You’ll need proven experience as a Full-Stack Developer, ideally with other B2B SaaS products and APIs, with a history of developing web based applications. You’ll have gained your experience working at a large tech company or high growth startup.
The tech stack includes: ReactJS, Node.JS, TypeScript, GraphQL, PostGreSQL, ElasticSearch, and AWS. They also use Git, Docker, and CI/CD, and serverless architecture (e.g. AWS Lambda). The more well-rounded your knowledge here, the better.
You’re the type who approaches work in a logical way, operating from first principles, and aware of Development and Agile principles. With an appetite for technical challenges, you'll enjoy keeping up with developments in web applications and programming languages. Working best in an environment with minimal bureaucracy, you’ll be glad to work autonomously and take ownership with integrity. You’ll need to be organised with strong time management skills, able to work on many projects at the same time.
You’ll get a competitive salary and stock options (everyone here owns the business), 25 days holiday (plus bank holidays), a pension plan, and flexible and remote working options.
