People & Culture Partner (HR Partner)

Are you a genuine HR Partner struggling to find your next role because most roles are bogged down by ER and the reactive needs of the business? Fear not, this role is different. Aligned to the Head of People, acting as their number 2, you will be focused on delivering organisational and cultural change, focusing on projects and implementation of new HR initiatives.

Multi-site Professional Service Organisation

Up to £50,000

Covid has been the perfect backdrop for a lot of businesses to slow down, take stock and really plan the business’ future movement. This business is no different. Reporting to the Head of HR, this role is a new addition to the structure as they look to reinvent the HR function and overhaul a number of activity areas to build a future proof HR provision.

The projects you’ll be delivering will not be bitty pieces of work that you’ll complete in isolation but will be a number of projects that link and overlap, so you’ll be expected to juggle a number of different projects at once. Alongside supporting the Head of HR with wider organisational design needs to support the business’ growth ambitions, you’ll be delivering projects in well-being, ED&I, employee engagement and, most importantly, talent management and leadership development.

As the business looks to continue growing through diversification of product and service, the talent needs of the business are expected to evolve, hence it is key to recalibrate the foundations of the HR function with talent development, talent management, and retention at the forefront of the HR strategy.

And although projects are big focus for the role, you’ll still get to do the day to day partnering – talent review, workforce planning, appraisal and pay review – so you will be able to deliver the projects from a position of being integrated with the business (not just a project delivery consultant).

Did I mention there is a specialist ER team, so you get to operate in a true value driven, projects focused role? You’ll also interface with other small centres of excellence in the HR team.

Sound right up your street?

You’ll need to be a pragmatic HR Partner, able to operate at pace and with a background then demonstrates a lean to HR projects, OD or talent – this might mean you’re currently in a talent and engagement focused role, or perhaps an OD and change specialist role. If your CV has a notable swing towards ER, policy and process it’s going to be a non-starter.

Being comfortable working in a remote environment is essential.
