In this role you’ll be the first dedicated Digital Learning Specialist to join the business and will lead the evolution of the digital learning offering for our PLC client. As chief of all things Digital Learning, you’ll be joining this business to elevate the digital learning offering and knit together the wider L&D strategy. As a national organisation with a disparate workforce, digital learning is key to the ongoing improvement and expansion of their employee offering, but also to support the business’ growth objectives by supporting the nurturing of talent through the business.

Reporting to the Head of L&D, and working alongside delivery focused Learning Partners, you will develop a true blended learning portfolio. As LMS owner, you will map out the digital learner journey, ensuring seamless accessibility and an engaging experience, and will be required to engage with a diverse stakeholder group to ensure effective onboarding to the system and embed usage. While there is likely to be some low hanging fruit and some quick wins to be had through simple and effective e-learning programmes, you will be empowered to think creatively and experiment with emerging technologies such as VR and AR. Spanning the breadth of entry level training, performance management and leadership development, you will have your finger in all of the learning and capability pies, so will never be short of an initiative or area of the business to be poking around in and asking “can we do it better?”

With innovation and flexibility at the core of this business’ offering and values, you will not be tasked with developing the same programmes for different audiences over and over but will be tested to deliver unique and engaging experiences tailored to diverse needs of the business. With a culture that is more comfortable with people asking for forgiveness, rather than permission, you’ll not find your wings being clipped and should find a rewarding, but no doubt busy, role here.

What are we looking for?
Our client are looking for a pragmatic, but creative, Digital Learning Manager – well versed in LMS management and digital learning content creation; knowledge and experience of working with video creation tools, authoring tools such as Articulate or Captivate. Ideally, you’ll have a broad grounding in learning and development and really understand how digital fits within the wider agenda.

You’ll be largely home based but with sites spanning the UK (mostly along the M1 corridor), you’ll need to be comfortable getting out on the road to build relationships with your peers and the business.
