Datawarehouse / ETL / ADF Developer - Manchester - Split onsite / offsite role - Tableau, ADF, DAX, Cloud, SSIS

My eCommerce client is looking to create a BI Centre of Excellence and is looking to hire 1-2 Data Engineers / Data Warehouse Developers to join the team.

Who we’re looking for:

We are looking for a passionate Data Professional who has a genuine interest in rich data and must have experience in delivery that contributes to wider business outcomes. A person who can concisely articulate to stakeholders and interested parties their role and solutions in a way that can be easily understood.

You will work with the BI Manager and work with the business to articulate the data. You will work as a Data Warehouse Engineer who can take flat files into the data warehouse using ADF and tune and improve the quality of that data. You will work with the business, articulate how data is structured, and build a solution.

The ideal candidate would have:

Experience of ADF - The current data needs to be transformed in the Datawarehouse so Azure Data Factory knowledge would be a huge advantage

Strong SQL knowledge and the ability to write complex stored procedures and views.

Strong DAX knowledge.

Understanding of normalised data models and dimensional data models.

Tableau experience would be useful as the data needs to be transformed in the datawarehouse.

Understand ETL process.

Experience with GIT and Azure DevOps would be an advantage

Good documentation skills abs the ability to relay complex data processes into layman’s terms.

Data Governance experience.

Dynamic and motivated, with the ability to problem-solve

This is a permanent role, offering a good salary dependent on experience, but within the range of £35,000 - £55,000 dependent on experience. The client is based in Manchester, with excellent parking, and offers a split 2 days offsite / 3 days onsite working arrangement and is easily commutable from Manchester, Bolton, Altrincham and Warrington.
