Web Interface Design Manager (UX)

We are partnering with a global business to make a senior hire into their core technology strategy department which will be a key addition to the growth and direction of their products.

You will be responsible for maintaining and developing the UI Standards across the board as well as the management of the Web Interface Engineers. We believe that the right person for this role will have demonstrated experience in web design, building web & mobile interfaces, designing UI Wireframes based on the UX requirements within an agile team. The team you will be working with on a day to day is built up of Software Engineers, UX Engineers, Corporate IT, Product Management, Product Owner, Scrum Teams & Subject Matter Experts.

The key accountabilities of this role span across 5 areas “Emerging Technology Monitoring”, “Software Development”, “Systems Design”, “UX Design” & “User Experience Evaluation”.

What we are looking for is someone who can take the lead on projects, setting standards across the team and showing/establishing “What good looks like” to create a standard level which has to be adhered too.

Day to day working will consist of 40% hands on, 40% strategy & 20% people management so as before prior experience in design and development would be key. The current team is small but expanding based on need so you will need to be able to adapt with the change and embrace what new challenges the day has to give.

Must have technical skills:

  • OWASP (Open Web Application Security Project)
  • ISO 24772
  • Applied and managed security risk for software development
  • Strong automation skills, process improvement & performance testing

Whilst we are still adapting to the change of mostly working from home the aim is in the future to be in the office so you will need to be living within commutable distance of Nottingham and prepared to come into the office post covid.
