My client is looking for a systems support analyst to join their growing team in Derby. You will be working for a company that truly values their staff with a job for life, career progression and support, flexible working and a real passion for work-life balance.
They currently have 4 sites across Derby and currently use a range of different systems and products in the operation of their business and they are looking for a unique individual, who will share their drive to promote and push forward the internal processes and external systems.
The role will be financially focused with a strive to improve accuracy, to ensure the process from the minute the customers walk through the door, to providing meaningful data used for their financial and trend reporting. You will be technically minded with the ability to update and maintain our EPOS systems as well as install hardware solutions across all sites.
On a day to day basis, you role will include tasks including:-
- Working to gain a full understanding on all of the systems which we use in our business (we currently use the Access Suite of products including ACCESS EPOS, COLLINS, PROCURE WIZARD etc). While a good understanding as systems as a whole would be useful, it is not essential that you know these products as full training will be given.
- Spending time working on the ‘floor’ of the business, working with Front of House Staff in order to gain a good understanding of issues which arise.
- Work with new and existing staff to ensure that they are full trained on the systems which we use. This will involve running individual and group training sessions.
- Reviewing data flowing through to finance from the systems and challenging it to ensure that it is accurate. Identify and resolve issues as they arise and assist with the implementing of processes to minimize these issues arising in the future.
- Assisting with the smooth running of the system- identifying issues and helping to resolve them through trouble shooting, logging support cases and monitoring issues which are raised to ensure that they are resolved in a timely manner.
- Building a strong rapport with our systems providers and spearheading the reviewing and negotiating of contracts where the need arises.
- Reviewing the systems as a whole to ensure that they are being used to their full potential. Where they are not, look to implementing their use more widely to assist with the smooth running of the business.
- Assisting with the running of the systems where required (this may include inputting of menus, formatting of the systems etc)
As this role is in the Hospitality sector you may be required to work occasional evenings and weekends to fully understand the business needs. Your weekly hours will be 40 hours/week and core hours are Monday-Friday 9am-5:30pm
Ideally you will have:
- A passion for technology and experience of using systems either as an operator or from an administrator perspective.
- Good interpersonal skills
- A logical way of thinking
- A practical attitude
- Good leadership skills
- A passion for processes (and the confidence to implement them)
- Willingness to learn
- A basic financial understanding would be useful but not essential
- A passion for hospitality- we are all trying to achieve the same goal of having happy customers! While experience in the industry is not essential, it would be useful
- A full driving licence (and a car) you will need to travel between our sites in fulfilment of your role
In return you will be offered:
- Basic salary of up to £30,000 DOE
- Company bonus once probation period has passed
- Perks and treats including staff discounts across all venues
- A job for life with unrivalled support and career progression
- Flexible hours
