In the Business Development Manager role you will be primarily responsible for working as part of the wider team to take products and services to the marketplace, positioning with clients and driving growth. You will be required to maintain the required management reporting information including CRM, account development plans and forecasting. You will be highly motivated with a 'go getter' attitude, you will see the word no as a challenge and think outside the box when it comes to finding your prospective new clients. You will be field-based, meeting clients across the UK, developing existing relationships and building new ones. You will excel at delivering engaging presentations and be able to meet and exceed targets and KPIs. As a Business Development Manager you will work collaboratively with the wider team, helping to deliver the business goals and targets as well as your own. You will be self-motivated and use your initiative to work outside of the job description where, and if, required.
Specific tasks include:
- Building new relationships and developing existing client relationships
- Working collaboratively with the wider team
- Learning and understanding the end-to-end proposition of the company's services
- Using your skills to prospect profiles and engage new clients the align with the strategic direction of the company
This is a field-based role covering the Liverpool region, so if field-based work doesn't suit you please do not apply.
The standard working hours for this job are Monday - Friday 9am - 5pm.
To be considered for the Business Development Manager role you will need to possess direct experience of solution-based sales.
We also need you to have prior experience of:
- Selling cloud-based solutions
- Developing existing and creating new accounts
- Selling within an infrastructure or software setting
- Managing your pipeline keeping a minimum pipeline ratio of 3:1
Additionally, it's crucial that you possess the following:
- The ability to prospect and engage new clients
- Outstanding communication skills
- A basic understanding of it, hosting, telecoms etc
- The ability to learn and understand new technology
We need you to be able to travel to visit clients UK wide and be able to stay away for 1-2 nights on occasion.

The basic salary for the Business Development Manager role is between £30,000 - £60,000 per annum depending on experience.
You'll also receive other additional benefits with the role which include uncapped commission and pension.
