North west based construction company are looking for a Health & Safety advisor to join their team on a permanent basis. Reporting directly to the Senior H&S Manager, you will be supported in your role while you progress in your Health & Safety career. Ideally looking for someone who hold NEBOSH or is currently studying towards it, and has a passion for all things Health & Safety.

You will receive on the job training, get comfortable going out on site and investigating and reporting all potential hazards. You job, along with the team, will be to ensure that policies and procedures are adhered to, in order to maintain the safety of the staff and the sites.

Other typical responsibilities of the job include:

• investigating health-related complaints and cases of ill health
• carrying out risk assessments and site inspections
• ensuring that equipment is installed correctly and safely
• identifying potential hazards
• determining ways of reducing risks
• compiling statistics and writing reports
• running health and safety meetings and training courses for employees
• liaising with external health and safety authorities
• keeping up to date and ensuring compliance with current health and safety legislation.

You will be supported in your career to gain additional qualifications Ie. IOSH / NEBOSH as well as any other desired goals.
