Backend Java Developer - London - Trading Start-up

A well-established overseas Trading Company is building out its UK operation. This FCA-regulated trading firm is seeking a Back-End Java Developer to join their growing team and help build a greenfield trading and investment platform using modern Java technologies.

This is a high-impact, office-based role in Central London (Monday to Friday), offering the chance to work on a flagship product with no legacy systems or technical debt.

You'll design and develop scalable, secure back-end services, implement APIs, contribute to integration efforts, and play a key role in shaping the platform from day one.

The ideal Back-End Java Developer will have:

• 5 years of Java development experience

• Strong Spring / Spring Boot knowledge

• Solid SQL (PostgreSQL/MySQL) and ORM experience (Hibernate/Spring Data)

• REST API design and development

• Familiarity with Git, Jira, and unit testing practices

Bonus skills include:

• Experience with AWS, Docker, and low-latency trading systems

• Exposure to front-end or mobile environments
